Position

This position will be located at Shopflick's headquarters in Los Angeles or office in Palo Alto. Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the Seller Team to achieve targets
  • Develop a strategy for seller acquisition and retention
  • Build a pipeline of seller prospects through industry networking and direct marketing
  • Lead the seller site experience from sign up through store management
  • Build a community of sellers motivated to grow their business on Shopflick
  • Partner with functional groups (merchandising, filmmaker marketplace and product development) for a successful seller experience

Requirements

  • 10+ yrs of consumer or small business marketing, business development and/or sales experience
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Outgoing, with good interpersonal skills and ability to be the face of the Company
  • Interest in fashion and/or retail
  • Self-driven and goal-oriented, able to meet multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial environment with little supervision
  • Prior experience working with ecommerce/start-up companies is a plus
  • Travel necessary
  • BA or BS degree (MBA preferred)

The Job

The Shopflick Product & Technology is a small, agile and extremely hard working group of talented technologists who are focused on delighting our users by creating an exceptional video commerce experience. The Shopflick Front-End Web Developer will develop and conceptualize site features and pages that are scalable, efficient and browser/platform compatible. The ideal candidate will have a passion for web technologies and a strong desire to work on a highly participatory team. We want to work with developers who are customer focused, enjoy iterative development and frequent feature releases.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop a highly scalable website, with a focus on elegant front-end implementation.
  • Write and ship code that is maintainable and efficient.
  • Collaborate with other technologists and members of the Shopflick team to create an exceptional consumer experience.

Requirements

  • Strong development background with CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, JSP, DHTML, XHTML.
  • Expert in W3 compliant, cross browser compatible, CSS/HTML development.
  • 3+ years of web development experience building responsive and elegant web UI’s for consumer-facing products.
  • Significant development experience in a cross-platform, cross-browser environment.
  • Knowledge of video (streaming, encoding, etc.), community building, commerce and user generated content applications strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Flash, ActionScript, or Flex is a plus.
  • Design background is a plus.
  • Capable of translating product and business requirements into production-ready code.

The Job

The Shopflick Product & Technology is a small, agile and extremely hard working group of talented technologists who are focused on delighting our users by creating an exceptional video commerce experience. The Shopflick Quality Assurance Engineer will work tirelessly to defend Shopflick from bugs and systemic problems, by developing and executing feature-specific and site-wide test plans. You will also manage, maintain and perform test scenarios for manual and automated testing.

Responsibilities

  • Set up test environments and perform black and white box testing.
  • Design, develop and execute test plans.
  • Identify, isolate, and define bugs clearly and concisely in a bug tracking tool.
  • Create and execute manual and automated build verification tests.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of web-based, consumer-focused quality assurance experience.
  • Experience black box testing with some white box testing.
  • Understanding and experience with objected oriented analysis and design a plus.
  • Experience with Apache, Tomcat, Spring, SpringMVC, Hibernate, and MySQL preferred.

The Job

The Shopflick Product Manager is responsible for developing, managing and optimizing commerce-specific flows, tools and features as well as generalized Shopflick products through the product development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer experience judgment and be incredibly analytical and creative. It is important that the PM is a strong leader who can drive consensus and be an excellent communicator who can articulate feature tradeoffs and product design choices in front of senior executives. They will work closely with the Product Development team to deliver exceptional products and services and will also work with the rest of the organization to ensure success metrics and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager will ensure that the product and marketing efforts support Shopflick’s overall strategy and goals.

Responsibilities

  • Be a commerce and purchasing expert.
  • Collaborate with Product & Technology Team to define product strategy and road map.
  • Conduct competitive research across related markets and provide appropriate analysis.
  • Own commerce and traffic data analysis and the on-going optimization of site flows, processes and mechanisms that impact or are impacted by commerce and purchasing behaviors.
  • Work closely with all facets of the business to refine and revise commerce/product touch points.
  • Deliver Product Requirement Documents with prioritized features and corresponding justification.
  • Manage project-level prod schedules, resource allocation, project details and success metrics.
  • Work closely with site analytics, customers, and focus groups to evaluate product effectiveness and ongoing product strategy.

Requirements

  • 4+ years experience as a Product Manager; 3+ years in commerce-related role.
  • Demonstrated success defining and optimizing commerce flows as well as launching compelling and revenue-generating products.
  • BS or BA, with technology background important.
  • Innovative thinker with the ability to simplify when needed.
  • Strong communication skills and the desire to work in a highly collaborative team are both a must.
  • Experience working with entertainment, style, fashion or pop culture content/products is a major plus.

The Job

The Shopflick User Interface Designer is responsible for evolving the Shopflick brand and aesthetic, as well as designing and prototyping site features. In addition to site design, you will also be involved with the design and conceptualization of marketing campaigns, business development relationships and site branding across all communication platforms. The ideal team member is a passionate, self-motivated, talented designer who craves the excitement and challenges that come with participating in a brand new company.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product & Technology Team to create new features and pages.
  • Create compelling and engaging design that will be leveraged across all facets of the business.
  • Produce wireframe, use case, and work flow documentation.
  • Refine the Shopflick brand; ensure brand consistency across all communication platforms.
  • Support marketing and business development with web and print solutions.
  • Provide front-end development support as needed for prototyping as well as feature development

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience designing consumer-focused websites.
  • Strong background and/or interest in style, fashion, pop culture and trends.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; including CS3 Layer Effects, Smart Objects and Layer Comps.
  • Experience with usability concepts, user testing and complicated work flow design helpful.
  • Practical front-end development experience.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Flash and Javascript a plus.
  • Cross browser, cross platform knowledge of semantic, standards-compliant CSS and XHTML.
